About The Author of this Web Site
I have been a medal collector for over 17 years aquiring various British medals from 1793 to the present day.  However my main interests lie with Victorian and World War One campaign medals - espcially those to the South Staffordshire Regiment.

The idea of this web site is to promote the hobby of medal collecting by providing collectors with a free online reference and information resource.  I also hope it will be both of interest and help to medal recipients or others in possession of family medals who wish to learn more.

In addition to medals within my collection I am fortunate to have several medals awarded to myself for service in the police.  These include the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal 2002 and the Special Constabulary Long Service Medal.
