CORONATION MEDAL 1911


Date Instituted: 1911.

Description: The obverse bears the two crowned busts of King George V and Queen Mary in robes of state within a floral wreath while the reverse has the crowned royal cypher above the date of the coronation.

Metal: Silver.

Size: 32mm.

Clasps: 'DELHI'.

Ribbon:

Naming: Issued un-named.

Comments: Some 15,901 medals were awarded to mark the coronation of King George V. In addition 134 'DELHI' clasps were granted to those who were later entitled to the Delhi Durbar Medal.
