Date Instituted: 1897.

Description: The obverse bears the crowned bust of Queen Victoria while the reverse has the inscription 'IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 60TH YEAR OF THE REIGN OF QUEEN VICTORIA 21 JUNE 1897' within a wreath and surmounted with a crown.

Metal: Gold, silver or bronze.

Size: 30mm.

Clasps: None authorised for this medal.

Ribbon:

Naming: Issued un-named.

Comments: Issues of gold, silver and bronze are as for the Golden Jubilee Medal 1887. Some 73 gold, 3040 silver and 890 bronze medals were issued in total.
