Comments: The various grades were awarded according to rank:
- Excellent
Grade - Most senior allied personnel;
- 1st Grade
- Major Generals and Brigadiers;
- 2nd Grade
- Colonels and Majors;
- 3rd Grade
- Captains and Lieutenants;
- 4th Grade
- NCOs and enlisted men.
The above list
uses army ranks but the equivalent ranks of the other services also
apply.
As
with the Saudi Arabian Liberation of Kuwait Medal British service men and
women are not permitted to wear this award in uniform despite other
allied countries being authorised to do so by their respective governments.
