Description: The obverse of this award bears a dove clutching an olive
branch with the inscription 'MULTINATIONAL FORCE & OBSERVERS'
while the reverse has the words 'UNITED IN SERVICE FOR PEACE'. The
suspender is rectangular in shape attached to the medal with a small
metal loop.
Metal: Bronze.

Comments: This medal is awarded to personnel of the Multinational
Force & Obeservers (MFO) which was created in 1979 to monitor
the peace agreement between Egypt and Isreal. Recipients were required
to complete 90 days service to qualify for the medal but this was
raised to 170 days in 1985.
The
force comprised of some 3,000 personnel from the countries of Australia,
Canada, Columbia, Fiji, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, UK,
USA and Uruguay.
