Description: The obverse of the medal depicts the NATO star within a
wreath of olives while the reverse bears the inscription 'NORTH
ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION' around the edge and 'IN SERVICE OF
PEACE AND FREEDOM' within the centre. Both inscriptions appear in
English and French. The ribbon is attached to the medal via a metal
loop.
Metal: Silver coloured alloy.
Size: 36mm.
Clasps: 'MERITORIOUS'.

Comments: This medal is awarded for meritorious service during NATO led operations.
The medal can be accepted by British personnel but not worn.
