Naming: Laser engraved capital letters.
Comments: Awarded to personnel for operational service where a separate
campaign medal is not struck. However one exception exists for Northern
Ireland where the Campaign Service Medal continues to be issued.
So
far this medal has been awarded for operations in Sierra Leone,
the war in Afghanistan and personnel who served in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
OSMs issued with the 'DROC' clasp are very rare with only about 150 awarded. |
