Instituted: 1982.
Description: The obverse of this medal bears the head of Queen Elizabeth
II while the reverse has the Irish crowned harp motif with the inscription
'ULSTER DEFENCE REGIMENT'. The suspender is made of laurel wreaths
across which is a bar bearing the initials of the regiment.
Metal: Silver.
Size: 36mm.
Bars: A bar is awarded for additional 6 years service.
