VISIT TO SCOTLAND MEDAL 1903


Date Instituted: 1903.

Description: The obverse of this medal bears the bust of King Edward VII while the reverse has the inscription 'FROM HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII 1903' above a crown with the words 'SCOTTISH POLICE' above. The suspender is plain and straight with an ornate claw mount.

Metal: Bronze.

Size: 36mm.

Clasps: None authorised for this medal.

Ribbon:

Comments: Awarded to police, troops, firemen and ambulance crews involved in parades and escort duties for King Edward VII's visit to Scotland in 1903.
